Final Poster Feedback

Lee and Donald both agreed that I needed to get rid of the pink lines behind the rocket and actually just make the rocket itself bigger to be able to fill up more white space.

I thought they were right. The pink lines were a bit messy to look at and it clashes a bit with the rocket in a way.

I had to polish my texts at the bottom and make them look smaller. I followed a grid through Indesign.

These were the three final designs that I came up with and it's just a matter of choosing which one is the best.

Initial Brochure design

Rocket Ship Idea v2

By this time, Donald had suggested that maybe if I put the rocket into an angle it would work better for the design. I realised he was right. This allowed the rocket to break the empty space into even white spaces.

From this point, I did more experiments and iterations on what work with what and how it worked with what.

The Rocketship Idea

I then came up with a brilliant idea of a rocket ship launching into space, initially, I did not think about my other touch-points, I just needed a design that was going to work with my poster design and then work from there with my other materials.

From here I was able to experiment with a range of design options.
From colour preferences for shapes to the positioning of texts, to the sizes of each design piece etc.

The design looked fine through the screen, but when printed on an A2 paper, I had encountered some problems with the texts sizes how some were bigger than I thought they would, others weren't following a grid and the whole design crumbled there and then.

2nd and 3rd Design Iterations

With the colour scheme set, I was determined to make a design work with it.

I had also a bit of a play with the shading of the planet.

Later on, I took this design literally as I was running out of ideas to push it through a bit more.
